Season Overview and Production
The second season features the return of the main staff from the first season, including director Keisuke Shinohara and head writer Yoriko Tomita, with animation by studio CloverWorks. The original manga by Shinichi Fukuda, which ran from January 2018 to March 2025, serves as the source material for the anime. The first season covered the initial five volumes of the manga.
The new season is expected to consist of 12 episodes, released as part of a single cour during the Summer 2025 anime season. Director Keisuke Shinohara noted the “difficult” production process for Season 2, stating that it felt like they had been working on it for three years. Despite the wait, fans can anticipate more heartwarming moments, fresh cosplay challenges, and a deeper exploration of Marin’s feelings for Gojo. The opening theme song for Season 2 is “Ao to Kirameki” by Spira Spica, and the ending theme song is “Kawaii Kaiwai” by PiKi.
