This expansion of the cult-classic zombie action franchise follows the successful 2024 release of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, a remastered edition that sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide.

The new game is being developed through a strong partnership between Nada Holdings and Tokyo-based Dragami Games, with a commitment to preserving and building upon the original’s unique appeal. Key staff members from the original 2012 development team are involved in the new project, aiming to maintain the franchise’s trademark dark humor and over-the-top zombie action. The developers have emphasized that the creative process will prioritize staying true to the distinctive tone and spirit of the original, “without imposing excessive creative restrictions in the name of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).”
