Renowned voice actress and singer Nana Mizuki has been officially confirmed to join the cast of the original anime series Princession Orchestra. Mizuki will lend her voice to the character of the Red Queen, the formidable leader of the band Snatch, a group threatening the peace of the magical kingdom of Alicepia.
The announcement was made by the anime’s staff on Sunday, with a character visual for the Red Queen also revealed.
Princession Orchestra: A New Magical Girl Series
Princession Orchestra is an original anime that premiered on April 6, 2025, airing on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. The series is slated to run for one year, comprising four consecutive cours. Produced by Studio SILVER LINK., the anime is an original concept by Akifumi Kaneko and Noriyasu Agematsu, known for their work on Senki Zesshō Symphogear. Shin Onuma directs the series, with Manta Aisora handling series composition and Yukiko Akiyama serving as animation character designer. Elements Garden is composing the music for the series.
The World of Alicepia and the Threat of Jamaock
The story of Princession Orchestra is set in the ancient and mysterious magical kingdom of Alicepia, a vibrant land inhabited by fun-loving “Alicepians.” However, their peaceful existence is disrupted by the sudden appearance of enigmatic monsters known as Jamaock. The narrative follows a trio of “princesses” who rise to defend Alicepia, harnessing the power of music to combat the threat. A unique aspect of the anime’s production is that the voice cast members sing new renditions of songs in each episode’s recording sessions, rather than using pre-recorded tracks for battle sequences.
