Netflix has unveiled a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of “Sakamoto Days,” alongside a reveal of its English dub cast.   • Xolo Maridueña as Heisuke Mashimo: The “Cobra Kai” star voices Heisuke Mashimo, a fellow assassin.
  • Aleks Le as Nagumo: Known for his work in “Solo Leveling,” Le will voice Nagumo, another key character in the series.
  • Lexi Cabrera (also known as WWE’s Alexa Bliss) as Obiguro: Cabrera voices the character Obiguro.
  • SungWon Cho as Boiled: Cho, who is also part of Netflix’s “Delicious in Dungeon”, voices Boiled.
  • Du-Shaunt “Fik-Shun” Stegall as Son Hee: Stegall takes on the role of Son Hee.
  • Toru Uchikado as Bacho: Uchikado, known for “Castlevania,” will voice the character Bacho.

What is “Sakamoto Days” About?

“Sakamoto Days” follows the story of Taro Sakamoto, a former legendary hitman who has retired to live a peaceful life as a shopkeeper with his family. However, his past catches up with him, forcing him to protect his family from the dangerous world he left behind. The series blends action and comedy, creating a unique and engaging narrative. The official synopsis reads: “Once the greatest hitman of all, Taro Sakamoto retired in the name of love. But when his past catches up, he must fight to protect his beloved family.”

The series is produced by TMS Entertainment, which is also known for animation work in series such as “Detective Conan,” “Fruits Basket” (2019), and “Dr. Stone.” Masaki Watanabe directs the anime, with scripts by Taku Kishimoto, character designs by Yō Moriyama, and music composed by Yuki Hayashi.
