Netflix has officially announced the English dub cast for Yaiba: Samurai Legend, the new television anime adaptation of Gōshō Aoyama’s manga. The English dub, alongside Spanish (LATAM) and Brazilian Portuguese dubs, is set to be available starting August 15.
The core English voice cast for Yaiba: Samurai Legend includes:
- Yaiba Kurogane voiced by Erica Mendez, known for her roles in Aggretsuko and KILL la KILL.
- Sayaka Mine voiced by Rebecca Wang, who has also worked on Solo Leveling.
- Kenjuro voiced by Craig Lee Thomas.
- Musashi voiced by Christopher Corey Smith, recognized for his contributions to One Piece and Final Fantasy VII Remake.
- Onimaru voiced by Alan Lee, who has appeared in Gargantia and Shield Hero.
The anime, which debuted in Japan on April 5 on YTV, NTV, and their affiliates, streams on Netflix in North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand. It is also available on Hulu in the United States. Viz Media has licensed the anime and is responsible for its release. The series follows Yaiba Kurogane, an aspiring samurai who returns to Japan and becomes entangled in conflicts, notably with kendo expert Takeshi Onimaru, leading to the awakening of ancient powers. The second cours (quarter of a year) of the anime premiered on June 28. Episodes 1-12 of the English dub are scheduled for release on August 15, 2025, with episodes 13-24 following on November 21, 2025.
