A new teaser video for Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke has unveiled key details regarding its returning voice cast and new production staff. The anime is slated for a Spring 2026 premiere, with its teaser trailer and visual first showcased at Anime Expo 2025.
WIT Studio Takes the Helm
The highly anticipated adaptation of the third part of the popular light novel series, Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, will be animated by WIT STUDIO. This marks a change in animation studios, as previous seasons of Ascendance of a Bookworm were produced by Ajia-do.
New Creative Team Announced
The production welcomes a new team of key staff members. Yoshiaki Iwasaki is confirmed as the Director, with Mariko Kunisawa handling Series Composition. Aiko Minowa is credited as the Character Designer for the new anime. The original light novel series is written by Miya Kazuki with illustrations by You Shiina.
Familiar Voices Return
Fans will be pleased to know that core voice actors are reprising their roles. Yuka Iguchi is set to return as the protagonist, Rozemyne, while Show Hayami will once again voice Ferdinand. The story follows Myne, now known as Rozemyne, as she navigates her new life as the adopted daughter of Ehrenfest’s archduke, striving to introduce a printing press to a world where books are scarce.
