The official website for the new anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi’s beloved Ranma 1/2 manga has released its second promotional video, offering fans a glimpse and a listen to the upcoming second season’s opening theme song, “Wo Ai Ni” (I Love You) by Wednesday Campanella. This highly anticipated preview builds excitement for the season, which is slated to premiere on October 4, 2025, in Japan before being exclusively available for streaming on Netflix.

The recently unveiled promotional video not only showcased fresh animation and character appearances for the upcoming season but also served as the debut for Wednesday Campanella’s opening theme, “Wo Ai Ni.” Known for their unique musical style, Wednesday Campanella is expected to bring a vibrant energy to the martial arts romantic comedy. In addition to the opening, Nishina will perform the new ending theme, titled “Panda Girl.”
October 2025 Premiere and Streaming Details
The second season of the new Ranma 1/2 anime is officially set to begin its broadcast run in Japan on October 4, 2025, airing on Nippon Television. Following its national broadcast, the series will be exclusively available for streaming worldwide on Netflix. This follows the successful launch of the first season, which premiered in October 2024 and garnered significant attention, particularly for its blend of new animation and returning original voice cast members.
Expanding Cast and Production Team
The upcoming season will introduce several fan-favorite characters, expanding the already colorful world of Ranma 1/2. New cast members joining the ensemble include Toshihiko Seki as Mousse, Kaori Nazuka as Ukyo Kuonji, Ako Mayama as Cologne, Kazuhiko Inoue as Happosai, and Akira Ishida as Hikaru Gosunkugi. Many of these actors have connections to the original 1989 anime, with some even reprising roles or taking on new ones.
The core voice cast from the first season will also be returning, ensuring continuity for the beloved characters. This includes Kappei Yamaguchi as male Ranma Saotome, Megumi Hayashibara as female Ranma, and Noriko Hidaka as Akane Tendō.
