The upcoming original anime series Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse, produced by David Production, has revealed a second promotional video, offering a closer look at the show, additional cast members, and its official premiere date. The anime is scheduled to debut on July 2, 2025, at 24:45 JST (effectively July 3 at 0:45) in Japan on Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block.
A Dive into Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse
Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse is an original action anime created by Fujiko Sakuno, Hideya Takahashi, and Akuto Sato, with animation by David Production. The series is set in Denji Heian-kyō, an alternate, technologically advanced version of Heian-kyō (an old name for Kyoto).
Story Premise
The story follows Takeru Narihira, a delinquent high schooler who finds himself transported to Denji Heian-kyō after an accident. In this new world, he encounters Tsukimiya, a mysterious woman he has repeatedly seen in his dreams. Soon after their meeting, they are attacked by Oni monsters, leading to their demise. However, Takeru discovers he has the power to travel back in time. Determined to change fate, he resolves to learn onmyōjutsu techniques and become an onmyōji sorcerer to save Tsukimiya.
