Ooyamada’s manga series, Yattara, is set to conclude with its next chapter on October 7, as announced by Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website on Tuesday. The series, which began its serialization in October 2024, has been simultaneously published in English digitally by Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service.
A Brief Run for the Gluttonous Monster
The Yattara manga follows the story of a gluttonous monster named Yattara, whose sole pleasure in life is eating. Drawn to a city described as one of “splendor and opulence,” Yattara initially seeks its favorite meal: children. However, the narrative takes an unexpected turn when the monster experiences a “flash of inspiration” before indulging its usual appetite.
The series launched on Shonen Jump+ in October 2024. Shueisha released the first compiled book volume of Yattara on January 4, and the third volume was published on September 4. The MANGA Plus service makes the latest three chapters of the manga viewable, with older chapters becoming hidden as new ones are added. Readers can access all chapters for free via the MANGA Plus app.
