The upcoming television anime adaptation of Riku Nanano and cura’s light novel series, Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter (Kōjo Denka no Kateikyōshi), has announced six additional cast members, expanding the ensemble ahead of its July 2025 premiere.
The newly revealed voice actors and their respective roles are:
- Yūya Uchida as The Professor
- Hana Satō as Anko-san
- Junichi Suwabe as Walter Howard
- Hiroshi Naka as Graham Walker
- Sayuri Sadaoka as Sherry Walker
- Tomohiro Ōno as Gil Algren
These additions join the previously announced main cast, which includes Yūto Uemura as Allen, Hime Sawada as Tina Howard, Kyōka Moriya as Ellie Walker, Ikumi Hasegawa as Lydia Leinster, Inori Minase as Stella Howard, Ami Maeshima as Caren, Miho Okasaki as Lynne Leinster, and Kana Hanazawa as Felicia Fosse.
The anime is being directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama at Studio Blanc, with Kazuya Ishiguri serving as assistant director. Megumi Shimizu is overseeing the series scripts, and Akiko Toyoda is designing the characters. Kei Haneoka is composing the music for the series.
Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter is based on the fantasy light novel series, which first began serialization on the Kakuyomu website in October 2017. Kadokawa began publishing the print volumes in December 2018, with the 19th volume released in April and a 20th volume slated for release in July 2025. A manga adaptation by Tamura Mutō has also been serialized since September 2019.
The story follows Allen, a promising young sorcerer who, after failing his royal court sorcerer exam, takes on a suspicious offer to become a private tutor to the Duke’s daughter, Tina Howard. Despite her academic brilliance, Tina is unable to cast even simple spells. Allen’s unconventional methods are put to the test as he endeavors to uncover the mystery behind her magical impairment and illuminate her future.
The series is set to debut on ABEMA and d Anime Store on June 28, 2025, with a television premiere on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 5, 2025. Crunchyroll will also stream the series starting July 5. Ami Maeshima, who voices Caren, will perform the opening theme song “Wish for you,” while Miho Okasaki, voice of Lynne Leinster, will perform the ending theme song “Shōjo no Susume” (A Girl’s Advice).
