“Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter” Unveils Six New Cast Members

The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Riku Nanano and cura’s light novel series, “Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter” (Kōjo Denka no Kateikyōshi), has announced six additional voice cast members. The new additions will bring more characters to life in the fantasy series, which began streaming early on June 28, 2025, and is set for its television debut on July 5, 2025, on Tokyo MX and BS11. Crunchyroll is also streaming the series starting July 5.

Expanding the Ensemble

The newly revealed cast members and their respective roles include:

  • Yūya Uchida as The Professor.
  • Hana Satō as Anko-san.
  • Junichi Suwabe as Walter Howard.
  • Hiroshi Naka as Graham Walker.
  • Sayuri Sadaoka as Sherry Walker.
  • Tomohiro Ōno as Gil Algren.

These actors join a previously announced cast, further building the world of Duke Howard and his daughter Tina.

Previous Cast Announcements and Production Details

The main cast members previously revealed for the anime include:

  • Yūto Uemura as Allen.
  • Hime Sawada as Tina Howard.
  • Kyōka Moriya as Ellie Walker.
  • Ikumi Hasegawa as Lydia Leinster.
  • Inori Minase as Stella Howard.
  • Ami Maeshima as Caren, who also performs the opening theme song “Wish for you”.
  • Miho Okasaki as Lynne Leinster, who performs the ending theme song “Shōjo no Susume”.
  • Kana Hanazawa as Felicia Fosse.

The anime is being directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama (known for Vampire Dormitory) at Studio Blanc, with Kazuya Ishiguri as the assistant director. Megumi Shimizu is overseeing the series scripts, while Akiko Toyoda is in charge of character designs. Kei Haneoka is composing the music for the series.

The story follows Allen, a sorcerer who, after failing a crucial exam, takes on a modest job as a private tutor to Duke Howard’s daughter, Tina. Despite her academic brilliance, Tina is unable to cast magic, a mystery Allen must help her solve before the Royal Academy’s entrance exams. The original light novel series, written by Riku Nanano and illustrated by cura, first began as a web novel in October 2017.
