The Journey of a Dragon Hatchling
The “Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling” anime is an adaptation of the popular light novel series written by Nekoko and illustrated by Naji Yanagida. The story originally began as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in August 2015. Seven Seas Entertainment licenses both the light novels and Rio’s manga adaptation for English release.
The narrative follows a protagonist who awakens in a new world, reincarnated not as a powerful hero, but as a helpless dragon egg. Stranded in a dangerous forest teeming with hungry beasts, the newly hatched dragon must overcome its initial vulnerability, level up by battling monsters, and strive to become the strongest dragon in its new life.
