Remow, a global anime distributor established by Japanese publisher Shueisha, has officially launched its new 24/7 free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel, “It’s Anime,” on Samsung TV Plus in the United States and Canada. This strategic move aims to make culturally authentic and premium Japanese anime more accessible to global audiences without requiring a subscription.
The “It’s Anime” channel offers a diverse array of content, encompassing both first-run anime series and classic titles. Viewers in the US and Canada can now stream popular shows such as Your Forma, My Deer Friend Nokotan, Reborn!, and Umamusume: Cinderella Gray. The upcoming months will see additional titles join the lineup, including Tougen Anki, Haigakura, Kuroko’s Basketball, Gag Manga Biyori GO, Tonbo!, and Tasokare Hotel.
Akira Ishii, CEO of Remow, emphasized that the development of “It’s Anime” was driven by the expectations of today’s anime audience, particularly passionate fans seeking timely access to the latest series without barriers. Ishii expressed pride in offering the channel on a FAST service, enabling viewers to discover and enjoy fresh, in-demand titles as they become part of global conversations around anime.
This launch in North America represents a significant step in Remow’s mission to expand the anime fanbase globally. The Tokyo-based entertainment company, which received investment from Skybound Entertainment in late 2023, had previously introduced a dedicated anime FAST channel in 18 Latin American countries. Remow also operates a “Samurai-Shinobi” channel available on Prime Video.
The introduction of “It’s Anime” on Samsung TV Plus coincides with the increasing demand for anime in Western markets, capitalizing on the medium’s growing popularity. Remow has stated plans for further expansion, with “It’s Anime” expected to roll out on additional platforms and in new territories throughout 2025 and 2026.
