Global anime distributor Remow, founded by Japanese publisher Shueisha, has launched a new 24/7 free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel called “It’s Anime” on Samsung TV Plus in North America. The channel became available in the United States and Canada in early July 2025. This launch signifies a strategic move by Remow to make “culturally authentic and premium Japanese anime accessible to global audiences without the need for a subscription.”
Channel Content and Accessibility
“It’s Anime” offers a diverse lineup of anime, including both first-run shows and classic titles, directly from Japan. Initial programming includes titles such as Your Forma, My Deer Friend Nokotan, Reborn!, and Umamusume: Cinderella Gray. Upcoming titles expected to be added to the channel’s slate include Tougen Anki, Haigakura, Gag Manga Biyori GO, Tonbo!, and Tasokare Hotel. Some of the content on “It’s Anime” is exclusively available on the channel, aiming to attract more viewers.
The channel is designed to cater to “passionate, engaged fans who want timely access to the latest series without barriers,” according to Akira Ishii, CEO of Remow. The launch on Samsung TV Plus allows access to the “It’s Anime” library for free to those with compatible Samsung devices, including smart TVs, smart monitors, and Galaxy mobile devices through the Samsung TV Plus app.
Remow’s Expansion in FAST
The launch of “It’s Anime” marks a significant expansion for Tokyo-based Remow in the free ad-supported streaming market. The company, which received investment from Skybound Entertainment in late 2023, had previously launched a dedicated anime FAST channel in 18 Latin American countries. “It’s Anime” is Remow’s second 24/7 FAST anime channel, building on their experience with a samurai-themed channel also available on Prime Video. Remow plans to roll out “It’s Anime” to additional platforms and territories throughout 2025 and 2026.
This initiative by Remow underscores the growing demand for anime content in Western markets and the increasing prominence of free ad-supported streaming television as a viable distribution model for premium content.
