Fans of the popular isekai anime Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- can mark their calendars: the highly anticipated fourth season is officially set to premiere in April 2026. A new main trailer and visual for Re:ZERO Season 4 have been released, introducing additional cast members and detailing the perilous journey ahead for Subaru Natsuki and his companions.
The Road to the Pleiades Watchtower: Season 4’s Premise
Following the intense battle at the Water Gate City of Priestella, Subaru and his allies achieved a hard-fought victory, but at a devastating cost. Rem remains in an unending slumber due to the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch has lost her memories, and Julius has had his name devoured. In their desperate search for a way to reverse these effects, Subaru learns of “Shaula the Sage,” an all-seeing being rumored to possess vast knowledge.
The upcoming season will see the group embark on a perilous journey to the “Pleiades Watchtower,” the Sage’s home, situated deep within the uncharted and dangerous Auguria Dunes—a location so formidable that even the renowned “Sword Saint” Reinhard could not conquer it. The narrative will pick up from Volume 21 of the light novel series, promising a continuation of the high-stakes adventure and emotional depth the series is known for.
New and Returning Voices Join the Cast
The latest announcements have confirmed several new additions to the voice cast, along with the return of beloved characters. Fairouz Ai, known for her roles as Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean and Kikoru Shinomiya in Kaiju No. 8, will lend her voice to the enigmatic new character Shaula, the Star Keeper of the Pleiades Watchtower. Additionally, Tomokazu Sugita has been cast as Reid Astrea, and Konomi Kohara as Rui.
The core cast members are set to reprise their roles, including Yusuke Kobayashi as Subaru Natsuki, Rie Takahashi as Emilia, Inori Minase as Rem, Rie Murakawa as Ram, and Satomi Arai as Beatrice. Yumi Uchiyama returns as Puck, Kana Ueda as Anastasia, and Takuya Eguchi as Julius.
Animation Studio and Production Team
Studio White Fox, the animation studio behind the previous seasons, will return to animate Re:ZERO Season 4. The production staff remains largely consistent with Season 3, ensuring a familiar visual style and high-quality animation. Masahiro Shinohara will once again serve as director, with Tappei Nagatsuki, the original author, supervising the scenario. Masahiro Yokotani is handling series composition, and Haruka Sagawa is credited as character designer and chief animation director. Kenichiro Suehiro is also returning to compose the music.
