The Story of Roll Over and Die
The anime adapts the light novel series written by kiki and illustrated by Kinta (with kodamazon illustrating later volumes). The story, which began as a web novel in January 2018 on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, follows Flum Apricot, a protagonist with zero stats and an unusable power, who is nonetheless included in a hero’s party. Her life takes a dark turn when the party’s sage, Jean Inteige, deems her dead weight and arranges for her to be sold into slavery. Abandoned to monsters, Flum makes a desperate choice to wield a cursed weapon, awakening a new power within her. This “grimdark tale” depicts her blood-soaked quest to reclaim her life.
Production Team
The anime television series is produced by A.C.G.T and directed by Nobuharu Kamanaka. Mariko Kunisawa is handling the series composition, while character designs are a collaborative effort by Miki Matsumoto, Fumio Matsumoto, Takashi Fukuyo, and Takafumi Furusawa. Ryo Takahashi is composing the music for the series.
