Manga artist Ryō Kujirakawa is set to debut a new series titled Kyōsei Kankei (Teacher-Student Relationship) in Akita Shoten’s Young Champion Retsu magazine. The announcement came in the November issue of the magazine, with the new manga scheduled to launch on November 18.
The upcoming series will feature a color opening page in its inaugural chapter. Kujirakawa’s latest work delves into the life of a perpetually struggling teacher, plagued by financial woes due to drinking and gambling, who unexpectedly finds himself residing in a high school boy’s home.
Details of the New Series
Kyōsei Kankei marks Kujirakawa’s return to a serialized work after the conclusion of their previous long-running manga. The title, which translates to “Teacher-Student Relationship,” hints at a dynamic central to the narrative, likely exploring the complexities and perhaps comedic or dramatic situations arising from the unusual cohabitation between the teacher and the student.
The specific circumstances leading to the teacher’s predicament and his stay at the student’s house are yet to be fully revealed, promising an intriguing premise for readers. The color opening page suggests a significant launch for the series within Young Champion Retsu.
