The official anime adaptation of Iro Aida’s Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun (Jibaku Shōnen Hanako-kun) manga has announced that Ryōka Yuzuki will join the cast of the second season, voicing the character Sumire. This casting was revealed on the anime’s official website for the second part of the second season.
The second part of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun‘s second season premiered on TBS and its affiliates on July 6, airing on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll is streaming the new season as it airs in Japan, and is also providing an English dub. The first season of the main anime premiered in Japan in January 2020.
Ryōka Yuzuki is a prolific Japanese voice actress known for numerous roles, including Ino Yamanaka in Naruto and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Satsuki Kiryūin in Kill la Kill, and Shizuka Hiratsuka in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. Her addition to the cast brings further talent to the anticipated second season.
The second season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun sees Yōhei Fukui directing at studio Lerche, taking over from the first season’s director, Masaomi Andō. Yasuhiro Nakanishi returns as the series scriptwriter, and Mayuka Itou is once again in charge of character designs, both having worked on the first season. Additionally, Masayoshi Ōishi performs the opening theme song “Kagome Kagome,” while Akari Kitō performs the ending theme song “mo∞ent.”
