The anime series is an adaptation of the popular Japanese light novel series written by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. The light novel originally began as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō platform in February 2020 before being acquired and published by Fujimi Shobo. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Tobi Tana, also began serialization in July 2021.
The animated series is produced by Studio Gokumi, known for bringing various fantasy and adventure stories to life.
