The newly licensed series are set to be released in English, with initial volumes scheduled throughout 2026. Each title brings a unique premise, from romantic comedies with a twist to sci-fi and fantasy adventures.
I’m Fine With Being the Second Girlfriend (Manga)
I’m Fine With Being the Second Girlfriend (Japanese title: Watashi, Nibanme no Kanojo de Ii kara) is a romance manga series by Ninoko and Jōyō Nishi, published under Seven Seas’ Ghost Ship imprint, which targets older male readers. The story centers on Shirou Kirishima and Akane Hayasaka, classmates who share a secret, intimate relationship. Despite their closeness, both harbor feelings for other people, leading to a complex dynamic where they act as “second choices” for each other while navigating their unrequited loves. As their unique arrangement continues, their connection deepens, challenging their initial premise of a temporary partnership. The first volume of the manga is slated for release in July 2026.
Printernia Nippon (Manga)
Maigo’s Printernia Nippon introduces a cozy, futuristic narrative. Set in a not-so-distant future Japan, the story explores a society where bio-printers allow individuals to create their own animal companions. The protagonist, Sato, attempts to print a Shiba Inu but encounters a system error, resulting in the creation of a mysterious, never-before-seen creature. Despite the unexpected outcome, Sato grows fond of the squishy, loaf-shaped pet, which he and a friend affectionately name “Mochimochi.” This manga offers a heartwarming tale about unconventional companionship and discovery. Volume 1 is expected to hit shelves in September 2026.
Al the Adventurer: That Magic Shouldn’t Work! (Manga & Light Novel)
Al the Adventurer: That Magic Shouldn’t Work! comes from creators Lemon, Toko Yamazaki, and sime, with Seven Seas licensing both the light novel and its manga adaptation. The series follows young Al, whose fascination with magic begins after he is rescued from goblins by his grandfather’s powerful magic at the age of three. After twelve years of rigorous training, Al embarks on his journey as an adventurer, seeking the elusive “Book of Spells.” His unique and unconventional approach to magic sets him apart, as he strives to become a hero using methods that seemingly defy magical norms. The manga’s first volume is scheduled for September 2026.
Space Orc: Barbarian Raider of the Stars, Aiming for the Queen! (Light Novel)
The light novel series Space Orc: Barbarian Raider of the Stars, Aiming for the Queen!, penned by Kuruma Hino and illustrated by Butcha-U, is a fun and flirty sci-fi adventure. The narrative takes place in a future where humanity has expanded across the galaxy, leading to genetic manipulation and the formation of various clans. The story centers on Kurtz, a barbarian orc from the warrior Ton-Tekin clan. Despite his humble origins, Kurtz has achieved recognition, even catching the attention of Queen Malya and Princess Pika. His ultimate ambition, however, is to win the heart of Queen Malya and make her his bride, leading him on a rampage across the stars. The first volume of this light novel is set for an August 2026 release.
