The upcoming 2025 Crayon Shin-chan film, Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Hot! The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers, has unveiled its official trailer, and with it, a taste of the vibrant theme song, “Spice,” performed by the popular Japanese rock band Saucy Dog. This film marks a significant milestone for the Crayon Shin-chan franchise as it ventures into India for the first time, promising a whirlwind of dance, music, and curry-flavored chaos.

A Bollywood Bonanza: Shin-chan Goes to India!

Set to release in Japan on August 8, 2025, Super Hot! The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers is the 33rd installment in the Crayon Shin-chan movie series. This time, Shinnosuke and the Kasukabe Defense Force find themselves on an adventure in India, a first for the franchise. The film is directed by Masakazu Hashimoto, with the screenplay penned by Kimiko Ueno, both returning to the Shin-chan universe.

The plot revolves around Bo-chan, Shin-chan’s quiet and often enigmatic friend, who accidentally inserts a peculiar piece of paper resembling a nose into his nostril. This leads him to transform into a tyrannical figure known as “Maharaja Bo,” sparking a wild journey for Shin-chan and his friends to restore Bo-chan to his former self.

The trailer showcases a vibrant and colorful India, featuring iconic locations like Delhi, Jaipur, and Mumbai. The film promises a blend of traditional Indian culture with Shin-chan‘s signature brand of humor and heartwarming moments. The movie is slated for an October 2025 release in India.

“Spice” Up Your Life: Saucy Dog’s Energetic Theme

Adding to the excitement, Saucy Dog’s theme song “Spice” perfectly captures the film’s adventurous and lively spirit. The song was written by Saucy Dog’s vocalist and guitarist, Shinya Ishihara, a self-proclaimed long-time fan of Crayon Shin-chan. Ishihara expressed his desire to encapsulate the simple joys of everyday life and the importance of cherishing those moments in the song.

Director Masakazu Hashimoto gave Saucy Dog creative freedom, encouraging them to follow their instincts. He aimed for a song that would extend the film’s narrative beyond the screen, leaving the audience with a feeling that Shin-chan‘s story continues. Hashimoto praised “Spice” for its gentle melody and lyrics that resonate with the movie’s themes, creating a lasting and warm aftertaste.
