About the Series
Secrets of the Silent Witch (originally Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto) is based on the light novel series written by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. Yen Press has licensed the novels for English release under the title Secrets of the Silent Witch. The story follows Monica Everett, known as the “Silent Witch,” the world’s sole practitioner of Voiceless Magic and a heroine who single-handedly defeated the legendary Black Dragon. Despite her immense power, Monica is exceedingly shy, having learned voiceless magic specifically to avoid public speaking. Unaware of her social anxiety, the Seven Sages assign her a top-secret mission to guard the Second Prince, Felix Arc Ridill, who attends Serendia Academy. The light novels originally debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2020, with Kadokawa beginning to publish them in June 2021. A manga adaptation by Tobi Tana has been serialized in Kadokawa’s B’s-LOG COMIC since July 2021. A two-volume prequel novel series, Silent Witch -another- Kekkai no Majutsushi no Nariagari (Rise of the Barrier Mage), and its manga adaptation have also been released.
