First Three Minutes and Plot Synopsis
A sneak peek video showcasing the first three minutes of the anime’s first episode has been released on Aniplex’s Japanese YouTube channel. This preview primarily features the protagonist, Monica Everett, interacting with Annie, alongside a surprise appearance by Louis.
The “Silent Witch” anime adapts Matsuri Isora’s light novel series, “Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto.” The story centers on Monica Everett, known as the “Silent Witch,” the world’s sole practitioner of Voiceless Magic and a heroine who single-handedly defeated the legendary Black Dragon. Despite her immense power, Monica is incredibly shy and learned voiceless magic specifically to avoid public speaking. Unaware of her extreme shyness, the Seven Sages assign her a top-secret mission to discreetly guard the Second Prince, Felix Arc Ridill, who attends Serendia Academy.
New Cast Member
The latest addition to the voice cast is Ai Kayano, who will portray the character Claudia, described as a “walking library”. She joins a cast that includes Saya Aizawa as the protagonist Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabel Norton, Shōgo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill, Kanna Nakamura as Lana Colette, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, Ryōhei Kimura as Elliott Howard, Yuki Sakakihara as Neil Clay Maywood, and Yōko Hikasa as Bridget Greyham. M.A.O also voices Rynzbelfeid, Louis’s familiar spirit.
Opening Theme Song
The opening theme song for the “Silent Witch” anime is titled “Feel,” performed by the alternative rock band hitsujibungaku. The song is scheduled to begin streaming in Japan on July 4, 2025. Hitsujibungaku will also perform the ending theme song, “mild days.”
The anime is produced by Studio Gokumi, with Yasuo Iwamoto directing and Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, as well as handling series composition and scripts. Cona Nitanda is responsible for character designs, and Cygames along with Rina Tayama are composing the music.
