Alongside this preview, new details regarding the cast and the opening theme song have been revealed, building anticipation for its premiere on July 4, 2025.
A Glimpse into the World of Voiceless Magic
The newly released three-minute excerpt from the first episode provides an early look at the anime’s animation and atmosphere. This sneak peek allows viewers to experience the initial moments of the story, introducing protagonist Monica Everett and other key characters in their setting. The anime, produced by Studio Gokumi and directed by Yasuo Iwamoto, with Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director and handling series composition, aims to bring Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi’s light novel series, also known as Secrets of the Silent Witch, to life.
Expanding the Ensemble: A New Voice Joins the Ranks
Adding to its already established cast, the Silent Witch anime has announced Ai Kayano as a new voice actress. She will be lending her talent to the character of Claudia, a second-year Serendia Academy student known as a “walking library” due to her family’s esteemed intellectual background.
This announcement follows previous casting revelations, which include Saya Aizawa as the protagonist Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, Shōgo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill, Kanna Nakamura as Lana Colette, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, Ryōhei Kimura as Elliott Howard, and Yuki Sakakihara as Neil Clay Maywood. M.A.O also joins the cast as Rynzbelfeid, the familiar spirit of Louis.
The Melodic Introduction: “Feel” by Hitsujibungaku
The opening theme song for the Silent Witch anime has been confirmed as “Feel,” performed by the alternative rock band Hitsujibungaku. This track is scheduled to begin streaming in Japan on July 4, coinciding with the anime’s television premiere. Hitsujibungaku will also be performing the ending theme song, titled “mild days.”
The anime, which will stream on Crunchyroll as part of the summer 2025 anime simulcast lineup, centers on Monica Everett, the “Silent Witch.” Monica is renowned as the world’s only practitioner of Voiceless Magic and a heroine who single-handedly defeated a legendary black dragon. However, despite her immense power, Monica is described as being extremely shy, having learned Voiceless Magic precisely to avoid public speaking. Her quiet life is disrupted when she is assigned a top-secret mission by the Seven Sages: to covertly guard the Second Prince, Felix Arc Ridill, at Serendia Academy. The series will explore Monica’s struggle to manage both her social anxieties and the dangers targeting the young royal.
