The highly anticipated “Silent Witch” anime, officially titled “Secrets of the Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto,” has unveiled its first three minutes of footage, introduced a new cast member, and provided details on its opening theme song during a recent livestream event. The series is set to premiere in Japan on July 4, 2025.
Unveiling the First Glimpse
Aniplex showcased the initial three minutes of the anime, offering fans an early look into the world of Monica Everett, the titular Silent Witch. This preview was part of a larger presentation that also featured a new special visual for the anime.
Expanding the Ensemble: A New Voice Joins the Cast
The latest addition to the “Silent Witch” voice cast is Ai Kayano, who will portray the character Claudia. Claudia is a second-year student at Serendia Academy, known for her vast knowledge and referred to as a “walking library.” Her family is celebrated for their intellect and is considered a national treasure.
Previously announced cast members include Saya Aizawa as the protagonist Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, Shōgo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill, Kanna Nakamura as Lana Colette, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, Ryohei Kimura as Elliott Howard, Yuki Sakakihara as Neil Clay Maywood, and Yoko Hikasa as Bridget Greyham. Hina Suguta and Shunichi Toki were also announced for the roles of Casey Grove and an unnamed mysterious man, respectively.
“Feel” the Magic: Opening Theme Details
The opening theme song for “Silent Witch” is titled “Feel” and is performed by the alternative rock band Hitsujibungaku. The song is scheduled to begin streaming in Japan on July 4, coinciding with the anime’s premiere. Hitsujibungaku will also be performing the ending theme song for the series, titled “mild days.”
