The highly anticipated Silent Witch anime series has recently released the first three minutes of its premiere episode, offering fans a glimpse into the magical world of Monica Everett. Accompanying this sneak peek are announcements regarding a new cast member and details about the opening theme song, building excitement for its upcoming July 4, 2025 debut.
First Look at the Silent Witch
Aniplex officially posted the initial three minutes of footage from the Silent Witch anime on its Japanese YouTube channel. This early preview features protagonist Monica Everett in conversation with Annie, alongside a surprising appearance from Louis. The anime, also known as Secrets of the Silent Witch in English, is an adaptation of Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi’s light novel series. The story centers on Monica Everett, a powerful magic-user known as the “Silent Witch” for her mastery of voiceless magic, a skill she developed primarily to overcome her extreme shyness and avoid public speaking. Despite her formidable magical abilities, she secretly struggles with social anxiety. Her current mission involves discreetly guarding the Second Prince.
New Voice for Claudia
Adding to its growing cast, the Silent Witch anime has announced that Ai Kayano will join as the voice of Claudia. Claudia is described as a “walking library,” suggesting a character with significant knowledge or a scholarly role within the series. This announcement follows previous casting reveals, including Saya Aizawa as Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, and many others.
Opening Theme Song Revealed
The anime’s opening theme song will be “Feel,” performed by the alternative rock band hitsujibungaku. The song is set to become available for streaming in Japan on the same day as the anime’s premiere, July 4, 2025. In addition to the opening, hitsujibungaku is also performing the ending theme song for the series, titled “mild days.”
