The highly anticipated Silent Witch anime has released the first three minutes of its inaugural episode, offering fans an early glimpse into the magical world of Monica Everett. The preview, along with new cast and theme song information, was unveiled during a recent Aniplex livestream.
Early Glimpse into the Silent Witch’s World
Aniplex officially posted the opening three minutes of the first episode, providing a substantial sneak peek for viewers eager to see the adaptation of Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi’s light novel series. The footage sets the stage for the anime, which centers on Monica Everett, a powerful mage known as the “Silent Witch” due to her mastery of voiceless magic—a skill she primarily developed to avoid speaking in public due to her extreme shyness. The anime is set to premiere on July 4, 2025, in Japan, with Crunchyroll also streaming the series.
Ai Kayano Joins the Cast as Claudia
Adding to the growing ensemble, voice actress Ai Kayano has been announced as a new cast member, lending her voice to the character Claudia. Claudia’s role in the narrative is yet to be fully detailed, but her introduction is part of a series of cast revelations that have been steadily released in the run-up to the anime’s broadcast. Kayano joins a cast that includes Saya Aizawa as the protagonist Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, among others.
Hitsujibungaku to Perform Opening Theme “Feel”
Further details regarding the anime’s music have also been revealed. The alternative rock band hitsujibungaku will perform the opening theme song, titled “Feel.” The song is slated to become available for streaming in Japan on July 4, 2025, coinciding with the anime’s television premiere. Hitsujibungaku is also confirmed to be performing the ending theme song, “mild days.” The musical direction for the series is credited to Cygames and Rina Tayama.
The Silent Witch anime is produced by Studio Gokumi, with Yasuo Iwamoto directing and Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, as well as handling series composition and scripts. The anime adaptation aims to bring the popular light novel series, which Yen Press licenses as Secrets of the Silent Witch in English, to life on screen.
