The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi’s Silent Witch light novel series has recently released a three-minute preview of its first episode, offering fans an early glimpse into the magical world of Monica Everett. This sneak peek was unveiled during a livestream event hosted by Aniplex, which also brought forth exciting news regarding a new voice cast member and details about the opening theme song. The series is set to premiere on July 4, 2025, in Japan, broadcasting on channels such as Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11, with Crunchyroll confirmed to stream the series worldwide.
First Three Minutes Posted
Aniplex presented the first three minutes of the Silent Witch anime’s initial episode, allowing viewers to experience the animation style and initial character interactions. This early release has generated significant buzz among fans, providing a taste of the adaptation of the popular light novel series, which is known in English as Secrets of the Silent Witch. The preview primarily features protagonist Monica and Annie, alongside a “surprise from Louis.” The episode synopsis reveals that Monica Everett, one of the Seven Sages, is approached by Louis Miller to secretly escort the second prince, Felix Arc Ridill, at Serendia Academy.
New Cast Member Introduced
Adding to the growing ensemble of voice actors, Ai Kayano has been announced as a new cast member, lending her voice to the character of Claudia, described as a “walking library.” Kayano joins an already established cast that includes Saya Aizawa as the protagonist Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, Shōgo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill, Kanna Nakamura as Lana Colette, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, Ryōhei Kimura as Elliott Howard, Yuki Sakakihara as Neil Clay Maywood, Yōko Hikasa as Bridget Greyham, and M.A.O as Rynzbelfeid. Shunichi Toki is also part of the cast, voicing an unnamed “mysterious man.”
Opening Song Information Revealed
Further details regarding the anime’s soundtrack have also been disclosed. The alternative rock band hitsujibungaku will perform the opening theme song for the series, titled “Feel.” This song is scheduled to be available for streaming in Japan starting July 4. hitsujibungaku is also credited with performing the ending theme song, “mild days.” The music for the anime is composed by Cygames and Rina Tayama.
The anime is being produced by Studio Gokumi, with Yasuo Iwamoto directing and Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, as well as handling series composition and scripts. Cona Nitanda is responsible for character designs, adapting them for the animation.
