“Silent Witch” Anime Unveils Opening Minutes, New Voice Talent, Theme Song Details

The upcoming anime adaptation of Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi’s Silent Witch light novel series has recently unveiled the first three minutes of its initial episode, offering viewers an early glimpse into the magical world of Monica Everett. This preview, alongside revelations of a new cast member and details regarding the opening theme song, builds anticipation for the series’ premiere on July 4, 2025.

First Look at the “Silent Witch” World

Aniplex presented a three-minute excerpt from the first episode, allowing fans to experience the animation and atmosphere of Silent Witch ahead of its official broadcast. This sneak peek features protagonist Monica Everett and provides an introduction to the series’ visual style and initial narrative beats. The anime, also known as Secrets of the Silent Witch, is set to premiere on channels such as Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 in Japan, with Crunchyroll also streaming the series worldwide.

Expanding the Cast: Ai Kayano Joins

Adding to the esteemed voice cast, Ai Kayano has been announced as a new cast member, taking on the role of Claudia, who is described as a “walking library.” Kayano joins an ensemble that includes Saya Aizawa as the protagonist Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, and many others.

Opening Theme: “Feel” by hitsujibungaku

The opening theme song for Silent Witch is titled “Feel,” performed by the alternative rock band hitsujibungaku. This track is scheduled to begin streaming in Japan on July 4, aligning with the anime’s premiere. hitsujibungaku will also be performing the ending theme song, “mild days.”

The anime is directed by Yasuo Iwamoto, with Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, overseeing the series composition and scripts. Studio Gokumi is responsible for the animation production. Yen Press has licensed the original light novels, titled Secrets of the Silent Witch, for English release. The story centers on Monica Everett, the “Silent Witch,” a powerful mage who uses voiceless magic due to her extreme shyness, and her top-secret mission to guard the Second Prince.
