The upcoming film marks the beginning of a two-part cinematic conclusion to the Sound! Euphonium saga. Initially announced as “The Final” and described as a “theatrical version” of the third TV anime season, it has now been confirmed to be split into two distinct movies. Part 1 will open in approximately 200 theaters across Japan.
The Journey of Kumiko Oumae Continues
Sound! Euphonium follows the journey of Kumiko Oumae and the Kitauji High School Concert Band as they strive for musical excellence. The third season of the TV anime, which premiered in April 2024, adapted Kumiko’s third and final year in high school, where she takes on the role of president and navigates the challenges of leading the band while also contending with a new transfer student, Mayu Kuroe.
