The official website for the Summer Pockets television anime has unveiled its sixth promotional video, prominently featuring the character Shiroha Naruse, voiced by Konomi Kohara. This new video coincides with the premiere of the anime’s “Shiroha Naruse arc,” which began with its 15th episode on Monday, July 14, 2025. A new visual for the Shiroha Naruse arc was also released ahead of Episode 15.
Anime Overview and Broadcast
The Summer Pockets anime series premiered in Japan on April 7, 2025, airing on Tokyo MX, BS11, MBS, Shizuoka Broadcasting System, AT-X, and TV Setouchi. Crunchyroll is streaming the series globally outside of Japan. The anime, produced by studio feel., is slated for two consecutive cours, totaling 26 episodes.
Narrative and Characters
The anime adapts Visual Arts/Key’s Summer Pockets visual novel, which was initially released for PC in June 2018 in Japan, with an English version arriving on Steam in February 2020. The story centers on Hairi Takahara, who travels to Torishirojima Island to manage his late grandmother’s belongings. There, he encounters several mysterious girls, including Shiroha Naruse, who has forgotten her summer vacation. Other key characters include Ao Sorakado, Kamome Kushima, and Tsumugi Wenders. The main voice cast from the visual novel reprise their roles for the anime, with Shōya Chiba as Hairi Takahara, Konomi Kohara as Shiroha Naruse, Natsumi Takamori as Ao Sorakado, and Emiri Iwai as Tsumugi Wenders. Nene Hieda takes over the role of Kamome Kushima.
Theatrical Compilation Films
In addition to the ongoing TV series, Summer Pockets will also receive a series of four compilation films, which were announced in late June 2025. These re-edited versions of the TV anime will screen in 26 theaters across Japan on a weekly basis from mid-August through early September 2025. The screening schedule for these compilation films is as follows:
- August 15-21, 2025: Kamome Kushima Arc
- August 22-28, 2025: Tsumugi Wenders Arc
- August 29-September 4, 2025: Ao Sorakado Arc
- September 5-11, 2025: Shiroha Naruse Arc
The anime adaptation is directed by Tomoki Kobayashi, with Keiichiro Ochi handling series composition and Mai Otsuka designing the characters.
