The anime adaptation of “Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho” (also known as “Sword of the Demon Hunter” or “Kijin Gentōshō”) has recently announced additional cast members and the artists for its new theme songs. The series, which premiered on March 31, 2025, and is streaming on HIDIVE, is set for a two-cour run.
New Cast Members Introduced
Several new voice actors have joined the cast for the “Edo arc,” which began with episode two. These additions include:
- Hiromu Mineta as Zenji
- Masaki Aizawa as Juzo
- Yoji Ueda as Kihei Restaurant Owner
- Ai Kayano as Ofu
- Seiichiro Yamashita as Naotsugu Miura
- Hitomi Nabatame as Yotaka
- Koji Yusa as Somegoro Akitsu
Earlier announcements also revealed Kentaro Kumagai as Kiyomasa and Haruka Shamoto as Chitose.
For the “Bakumatsu arc,” which commenced with episode 14, more cast members have been unveiled:
- Toshihiko Seki as Yasuhide Hatakeyama
- Kenichiro Matsuda as Tsuchiura
- Kazuya Nakai as Kiichi Okada
Previously announced main cast members include Taku Yashiro as Jinta, Reina Ueda as Suzune, Saori Hayami as Shirayuki, Hiroshi Shirokuma as Doga no Oni, and Yui Kondo as Tomi no Kijo. The English dub cast has also been announced, with Aaron Campbell voicing Jinta/Jinya and Donna Bella Litton as Byakuya, among others.
New Theme Song Artists Revealed
The anime features new theme songs as it progresses into new arcs. For the “Bakumatsu arc” starting with episode 14, the new opening theme song is “Ash” performed by [Alexandros]. The new ending theme song for this arc is “Enrin” by FAKE TYPE.
Prior to these, the anime’s initial opening theme song was “Continue” by the Japanese rock band NEE. The first ending theme song was “Senya Ichiya” (One Thousand and One Nights), performed by Hilcrhyme featuring Izumi Nakasone from HY.
