The highly anticipated anime series Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho has revealed additional cast members and new theme song artists as it progresses through its narrative arcs. The series, which premiered on March 31, 2025, with a one-hour special, is set to run for two consecutive cours.
Expanding the Voice Cast
As the anime delves deeper into its story, new characters have been introduced, bringing with them a roster of talented voice actors.
Edo Arc Additions
For the Edo arc, commencing with episode two, several new cast members were announced. Hiromu Mineta joins as Zenji, Masaki Aizawa as Juzo, and Yoji Ueda as the Kihei Restaurant Owner. Further additions include Ai Kayano as Ofu, Seiichiro Yamashita as Naotsugu Miura, Hitomi Nabatame as Yotaka, and Koji Yusa as Somegoro Akitsu. Saya Aizawa also takes on the role of Natsu.
Earlier announcements also revealed Kentaro Kumagai as Kiyomasa and Haruka Shamoto as Chitose.
Bakumatsu Arc Introductions
With the start of the Bakumatsu arc from episode 14, three more significant cast members have been unveiled. Toshihiko Seki voices Yasuhide Hatakeyama, Kenichiro Matsuda takes on the role of Tsuchiura, and Kazuya Nakai joins as Kiichi Okada.
New Musical Journeys
The musical landscape of Sword of the Demon Hunter is also evolving with new theme songs introduced for the latest arc.
Initial Theme Songs
The series initially featured “Continue” by Japanese rock band NEE as its opening theme. The first ending theme was “Senya Ichiya” (One Thousand and One Nights), performed by Hilcrhyme featuring Izumi Nakasone from HY.
Bakumatsu Arc Theme Songs
For the Bakumatsu arc, new theme songs have been adopted. The opening theme is now “Ash” by [Alexandros], while the ending theme shifts to “Enrin” by FAKE TYPE.
