Tachibana Higuchi’s Champignon Witch (Champignon no Majo) manga has released a new chapter on September 5, marking its return after a nine-month hiatus. The latest installment, the fifth and final part of the 31st chapter, was published on Hakusensha’s Manga Park app.
The Return of Champignon Witch
Fans of the magical fantasy series can rejoice as new content for Champignon Witch has finally arrived. The last new chapter, the fourth part of chapter 31, was posted on December 27, 2024, leading to a significant gap in the series’ serialization. Although no official announcement of a hiatus was made by Manga Park or Higuchi herself, the period between January and August saw the release of several bonus illustrations by the author, keeping readers engaged. Following the conclusion of chapter 31 on September 5, the first part of the 32nd chapter is slated for release on September 12.
A Look Back at the Hiatus
The nine-month break between the fourth and fifth parts of chapter 31 left many readers wondering about the future of the series. Despite the lack of formal communication regarding a pause in publication, the presence of bonus content indicated that Higuchi was still actively involved with the project, albeit not releasing new story chapters. This unexpected pause occurred amidst significant news for the series, including the announcement of an upcoming anime adaptation.
