The highly anticipated second season of “The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten” anime is confirmed to premiere in April 2026. A new teaser trailer for the upcoming slice-of-life sequel was unveiled, announcing the broadcast window.
The official announcement was made on Friday, June 27, 2025, via the anime’s official website and X (formerly Twitter) account, accompanied by the first promotional video. While the exact broadcast date within April 2026 is yet to be revealed, the trailer offers a glimpse into the continuing heartwarming story between Mahiru Shiina and Amane Fujimiya.
Studio Project No. 9, which animated the first season, will return for the second installment. A key change in the production staff sees Chihiro Kumano taking over as the new director, replacing Wang Lihua from the first season. Returning staff members include Keiichiro Ochi as the series composer and Takayuki Noguchi as the character designer. Moe Hyuga is also returning to compose the music. The voice cast, including Manaka Iwami as Mahiru Shiina and Taito Ban as Amane Fujimiya, will reprise their roles.
“The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten” anime is based on the light novel series by Saekisan with illustrations by Hanekoto, which began serialization in 2018 on the “Shosetsuka ni Naro” website. The first season, consisting of 12 episodes, aired from January to March 2023 and was streamed by Crunchyroll. The second season is expected to further develop the bond between Mahiru and Amane.
