What the Third Promotional Video Reveals
The newly released third promotional video provides a deeper dive into the world and characters of the upcoming series. Beyond showcasing more animation and character interactions, the video also features snippets of the anime’s theme songs. Unraveling the “Dark History” Plot
The anime is based on Akiharu Tōka’s popular manga, which Yen Press licenses in English. The story centers on Konoha Satou, a high school student with a rather embarrassing “dark history” – a self-indulgent fantasy romance novel she wrote during her middle school years. Her world is turned upside down when she dies in a traffic accident and finds herself reincarnated into the very world of her own creation.
However, instead of becoming the heroine she named after herself, Konoha is reborn as Iana Magnolia, the most despicable villainess of her own story. Now, remembering every detail of her “dark history” becomes a matter of life and death, as she must navigate a dangerous world filled with “death flags” and alter the fate of her villainous self. Adding to the complexity, a mysterious character, Yomi, appears—a character she never wrote into her original script.
