The popular Boys’ Love (BL) manga series “Therapy Game” by Meguru Hinohara is officially receiving a stage play adaptation, scheduled to run from January 16 to January 25, 2026, at the Nippon Seinenkan Hall in Japan. This announcement follows a previously released live-action drama adaptation, with the stage play featuring several actors reprising their roles.
Cast and Creative Team Revealed for “Therapy Game” Stage Play
A key visual for the production has been unveiled, alongside the full cast and staff list for the highly anticipated stage play. Yuki Tomita is set to portray Shizuma Ikushima, while Naoya (MAZZEL) will take on the role of Minato Mito, both reprising their lead positions from the live-action drama.
Other confirmed cast members include Ryuga Sato as Itsuki Mito, HAYATO (XY) as Shouhei Ikushima, Kodai Kurihara as Tatsumi, Taisei Amemiya as Chikazawa, Nana Shinnoo as Yuka, Baku Idegami as Asuka, Yo Aochi as Hanako, Kyoji Goto as Ken, and Takeshi Nadagi as Mama.
Behind the scenes, the production boasts a talented creative team. Yuzuka Aihara is directing the stage play, with Daisuke Tanaka penning the screenplay and Miyoshi Masaki composing the music. The production also emphasizes sensitive handling of its themes, with Daisuke Shirakawa serving as LGBTQ+ Supervisor and Koei Taga as Intimacy Coordinator. Azusa Yoshihama is handling the choreography.

The story centers on Minato, a photographer, who encounters a drunk veterinary student, Shizuma, at a bar. After spending the night together, Shizuma wakes up with no memory of the event, leading an enraged Minato to declare he will win Shizuma’s heart, making a bet with the bar staff.
The stage play marks the latest adaptation of the beloved series, building on the success of the live-action drama that began airing on Nippon Television starting October 29, 2025.
