The highly anticipated second season of the anime series, ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess (Hime-sama “Goumon” no Jikan Desu), has unveiled a new main trailer, offering fans a glimpse of its upcoming ending theme. The preview highlights “Ohime-sama ni wa Narenai” by singer-songwriter Yuika, building excitement for the season’s premiere on January 12, 2026.
Second Season Details Emerge
The newly released trailer provides a comprehensive look at the upcoming season, confirming the return of key staff and cast, while also introducing new elements. The animation production will once again be handled by Studio PINE JAM, with Yoko Kanamori returning as director. Keiichiro Ochi is taking over as the series composer, succeeding Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Toshiya Kono is credited as the character designer, and Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music.

Beyond Yuika’s ending theme, the trailer also showcases the opening theme song for the second season, titled “Sunday Morning,” performed by the South Korean girl group ILLIT. The second season will introduce new characters, with Yukari Tamura joining the cast as Hamu-chan and Tomokazu Sugita as Penta. ‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess is based on the fantasy comedy manga series written by Robinson Haruhara and illustrated by Hirakei. The manga was serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform from April 4, 2019, to August 19, 2025, with eighteen tankobon volumes released as of November 2025.
The story revolves around a princess who is captured by the Demon King’s Army. Instead of facing conventional pain, she is subjected to “tortures” designed to tempt her with irresistible delights like fluffy toast and hot ramen, in an attempt to extract her kingdom’s secrets. Crunchyroll will be streaming the second season outside of East Asia, ensuring global access to the beloved series.
