Manga artist TNSK, acclaimed for the recently concluded series My Master Has No Tail, is set to launch a new manga titled Torimatorimasu on August 7. The announcement was made by Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine in its August issue.
A New Mystery Unfolds
Torimatorimasu will center on a character named Jun, a young girl who relocates to a mountain village with her father, a doctor. What promises to be an idyllic summer takes a dark turn when Jun uncovers unsettling rumors about the clinic and stumbles upon a cryptic old videotape. The premise suggests a departure into a more suspenseful or mysterious genre compared to TNSK’s previous work.
TNSK’s Recent Endeavors
This new serialization follows the successful run of TNSK’s My Master Has No Tail (Uchi no Shishō wa Shippo ga Nai), which concluded in January 2024 after beginning serialization in Good! Afternoon in January 2019. The final, 12th volume of My Master Has No Tail was published by Kodansha in February 2024, with Kodansha USA Publishing releasing the digital English version in September 2024. The popular fantasy-comedy series, which followed a tanuki girl named Mameda aspiring to become a rakugo storyteller under the guidance of master Bunko, also inspired an anime adaptation in 2022, streamed by HIDIVE.
TNSK’s new work, Torimatorimasu, marks an anticipated return to the pages of Good! Afternoon and offers fans a fresh narrative from the prolific creator.
