The Continuing Saga of Fushi
To Your Eternity, based on the manga by Yoshitoki Ōima, tells the profound story of Fushi, an immortal being sent to Earth as an orb. Capable of taking on the form of anything that stimulates it and regenerating after death, Fushi embarks on a journey of self-discovery, learning about humanity, emotions, and survival through countless encounters and heart-wrenching partings. The series explores deep philosophical themes as Fushi navigates an evolving world, often battling against mysterious entities known as Nokkers that seek to steal its memories.
The first season of the anime premiered in April 2021, followed by the second season in October 2022. Both seasons were streamed by Crunchyroll, which also provided English dubs. The third season will continue Fushi’s narrative through the “This World” arc, promising new settings and challenges as Fushi strengthens its understanding of humanity. The opening theme song for the new season is “Fumetsu no Anata” by the techno-pop unit Perfume, with Masashi Hamauzu composing the ending theme.
