The highly anticipated third season of the anime series To Your Eternity has released a new promotional video, offering fans a fresh look at the upcoming “Modern Arc.” The video also features the opening theme song, “Fumetsu no Anata” (You who are immortal), performed by the renowned techno-pop unit Perfume, and introduces several new cast members joining the series. The season is set to premiere in Japan on October 4, 2025, and will be streamed by Crunchyroll worldwide.
Perfume to Perform Opening Theme “Fumetsu no Anata”
Three-member techno-pop unit Perfume will perform the opening theme song for To Your Eternity Season 3, titled “Fumetsu no Anata” (“You who are immortal”). The song was specially written, composed, and arranged by Perfume’s long-time sound producer, Yasutaka Nakata. As long-time fans of the series, the group enthusiastically accepted the offer. The new promotional video provides a first listen to the track, which promises to add a unique flavor to the anime’s emotional depth. Perfume members A-chan, Kashiyuka, and Nocchi expressed their excitement, noting how the philosophical themes of life, death, and human resilience in To Your Eternity resonated with them.
New Cast Members Join Fushi’s Journey
The upcoming season will introduce a host of new characters, expanding the narrative of Fushi’s journey in the modern era. Four key additional cast members have been announced:
- Shizuka Ito as Izumi, Mizuha’s mother. Ito commented on her character, describing Izumi as an “eccentric, toxic mother type” and hinted at a possible connection to her brief appearance as Oumi in Season 2.
- Shinichiro Miki as Itsuki, Mizuha’s father. Miki expressed his honor in joining the popular series and his determination to meet fan expectations.
- Rumi Okubo as Mimori, a young girl who becomes crucial to unraveling the enemy’s mystery. Okubo, a fan of the manga, shared her excitement for Mimori’s pivotal role in Fushi’s modern relationship with the Nokkers.
- Tasuku Hatanaka as Hirotoshi, Mimori’s stepbrother. Hatanaka conveyed his sincere dedication to portraying the story of Mimori and Hirotoshi.
These actors join the returning main voice cast, including Reiji Kawashima as Fushi and Kenjiro Tsuda as The Observer. Other previously announced new cast members include Tomori Kusunoki as Mizuha, Megumi Han as Yūki Aoki, and Yumiri Hanamori as Satoru. Further additions to the cast include Aoi Koga as Aiko, Fukushi Ochiai as Tamaki Kazumu, Aya Uchida as Hanna, Chiharu Sawashiro as Senba Suzuhiko, and Shouto Kashii as Kazumitsu.
Production Details and “Modern Arc” Adaptation
To Your Eternity Season 3 will cover the “Modern Arc,” also referred to as the “This World” or “New World” arc, continuing Fushi’s story in contemporary settings. Sota Yokote will make his directorial debut for Season 3, with Kiyoko Sayama, the director of Season 2, serving as chief director. The animation production will be handled by Drive and STUDIO MASSKET.
Returning staff members include Shinzo Fujita as series composer, Koji Yabuno as character designer, Ryo Kawasaki as music composer, and Takeshi Takadera as sound director. The series is based on Yoshitoki Oima’s critically acclaimed manga, which recently concluded its third arc in June 2025.
The third season is scheduled to air for 22 episodes. Crunchyroll will stream the new season in various regions, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, Indian Subcontinent, and Southeast Asia.
