The Story of Dan Da Dan
Based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, Dan Da Dan is described as a “paranormal mystery battle & romantic comedy.” The story centers on Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an ardent occult fanatic. Their initial interactions are marked by an argument: Momo believes in ghosts but not aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but dismisses ghosts.
To prove their respective beliefs, Momo ventures to an abandoned hospital rumored to have a UFO sighting, and Okarun investigates a tunnel said to be haunted. Unexpectedly, both encounter overwhelming paranormal activities that defy easy comprehension. Amidst these extraordinary circumstances, Momo awakens a hidden power, and Okarun gains the ability of a curse, enabling them to confront these new dangers. The series intricately weaves together occult battles, alien encounters, psychic powers, and the burgeoning fateful love story between the two protagonists.
