The original anime series “Turkey!”, now officially titled “Turkey! Time to Strike”, has revealed a significant plot twist alongside new promotional materials and additional cast members following the premiere of its first episode on July 8, 2025. What was initially promoted as a coming-of-age story about a high school bowling club in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, has taken a surprising turn into a time-travel science fiction narrative.
The Unexpected Journey to the Sengoku Period
The debut episode of “Turkey! Time to Strike” unveiled that the five members of the Ikokkukan High School bowling team—Mai Otonashi, Rina Godai, Sayuri Ichinose, Nozomi Mitaka, and Nanase Nikaido—unexpectedly time-travel to Japan’s turbulent Sengoku period. This major plot development redefines the anime’s premise, transforming it from a simple sports drama into an “emotional and action-filled tale of youth and connection” across historical eras.
New Visuals and Promotional Video Released
Accompanying the plot revelation, a second promotional video and a third key visual for “Turkey! Time to Strike” have been released. The new key visual features the five bowling club members alongside the newly introduced Tokura family, set against a backdrop of flames, hinting at the challenges and drama awaiting them in the past. The tagline on the visual reads, “Let’s all go home together, ok?”, emphasizing the girls’ shared goal of returning to their own time.

These new cast members join the previously announced main cast: Hana Hishikawa as Mai Otonashi, Kana Ichinose as Rina Godai, Haruki Iwata as Sayuri Ichinose, Yuuki Tenma as Nozomi Mitaka, and Ayasa Ito as Nanase Nikaido.
