Renowned television producer Nobuyuki Sakuma will lend his voice to the upcoming anime adaptation of Kōcha Agasawa’s romantic comedy manga, You and I Are Polar Opposites (Seihantaina Kimi to Boku). Sakuma is set to voice the homeroom teacher of the main characters, Suzuki and Tani, in what marks a notable crossover for the popular TV personality.
The announcement was made on Friday, revealing Sakuma’s involvement in the highly anticipated series, which is slated to premiere on January 11, 2026. Sakuma expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating he is a fan of the original manga.

The You and I Are Polar Opposites anime is an adaptation of Kōcha Agasawa’s popular romantic comedy manga. The story centers on Miyu Suzuki, a cheerful and outgoing high school girl, and Yusuke Tani, her stoic and quiet classmate, exploring whether “opposites really don’t attract” as their relationship develops. The manga initially began as a one-shot in January 2021 before its serialization on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ platform from May 2022 to November 2024.

The anime series is produced by Lapin Track, with Takakazu Nagatomo serving as the director. Teruko Utsumi is handling the series composition and also serves as the animation producer.
