About Neko Mukashi Banashi: Cats in Classic Tales
The Neko Mukashi Banashi manga, created by Pandania, is a charming comedy that re-imagines children’s stories and folktales from around the world by asking a simple, whimsical question: “What if a cat appeared in this story?” This unique premise allows for a fresh, humorous perspective on classic narratives, ranging from Cinderella to Momotaro.
Kadokawa has published three volumes of the original manga: Neko Mukashi Banashi, Nyanto! Neko Mukashi Banashi, and Mikke! Neko Mukashi Banashi. Pandania is also recognized for other cat-centric manga series, including Cats With Jobs and The Evil Secret Society of Cats. Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing several of Pandania’s manga, including Neko Mukashi Banashi, in English.
