The second part of the Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray anime has revealed its opening theme song in a new promotional video, building anticipation for its upcoming premiere. The new cour, which continues the story of horse girl Oguri Cap, is set to debut on October 5, 2025, with a special world premiere screening in Hollywood on October 4.
10-FEET to Perform New Opening Theme “Spurt Syndrome”
The rock band 10-FEET will perform the new opening theme song for the second cour of Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray, titled “Spurt Syndrome.” This announcement comes with a new trailer that offers a glimpse into the upcoming episodes and features a sample of the energetic new track. The first cour’s opening theme, “Koeru” (“Transcending”), was performed by [Alexandros].
Global Premiere and Streaming Information
Ahead of its Japanese broadcast, the second cour of the anime will have its world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California, on October 4, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. PDT. This free event is part of the Global Stage Hollywood festival, with RSVPs currently open to the public.
The Japanese broadcast of the second cour will begin on October 5, 2025. International audiences will be able to stream the series across various platforms, including Amazon Prime Video in select territories, the It’s Anime YouTube channel (covering regions like the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe and the Middle East), and the It’s Anime FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus. Additionally, Anime Onegai will stream the series in Central and South America, and ADN will carry it in French- and German-speaking European regions. Netflix is also expected to offer the series in select Asian markets.
Continuing Oguri Cap’s Legacy
Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray follows the journey of Oguri Cap, a unique horse girl whose unconventional running style earns her the moniker “monster” as she strives for supremacy at Kasamatsu Training Center Academy. The second part will see Oguri Cap continue her challenging path, facing off against formidable contenders, including Tamamo Cross, and other international racers as she aims to become the strongest runner.
The anime is based on the manga of the same name, written by Masafumi Sugiura and illustrated by Taiyo Kuzumi, which has been serialized in Weekly Young Jump since June 2020. The manga has over 8 million copies in circulation.
Production Team and New Characters
Takehiro Miura returns as the director for the second cour at CygamesPictures, ensuring continuity in the animation quality and storytelling. Aki Kindaichi handles the series composition, while Yosuke Fukumoto, Keigo Sasaki, and Takuya Miyahara are responsible for character designs. Kenji Kawai continues to provide the music for the series.
The second cour will also introduce five new characters: Toni Bianca (voiced by Yuko Kaida), Obey Your Master (voiced by Shizuka Ishigami), Moonlight Lunacy (voiced by Akira Sekine), Michelle My Baby (voiced by Ayahi Takagaki), and Ellerslie Pride (voiced by Miyu Tomita). The voice cast also features Tomoyo Takayanagi as Oguri Cap, Momoko Seto as Belno Light, and Naomi Ohzora as Tamamo Cross.
The Uma Musume franchise, developed by Cygames, is a mixed-media project that includes games, anime, music, and manga, re-imagining real-life racehorses as anthropomorphic horse girls.
