The upcoming second season of Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon has revealed that Aina Aiba will perform the ending theme song, adding another exciting layer to the anime’s return. This news has fans eagerly anticipating the July premiere, where they can hear Aiba’s song, “Boku Dake no Chiheisen” (A Horizon Only for Me).

What to Expect From Season 2

The second season of Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon is set to premiere in July 2025, airing on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and other channels. The series follows the unique isekai tale of a man who dies and is reincarnated as a sentient vending machine in a fantasy world. Confined to vending machine phrases and limited mobility, he navigates a dungeon, selling items to survive and upgrading his abilities.

Production Team

While the core staff is returning, there are some notable changes in the production team. Takashi Yamamoto (Jewelpet Twinkle, Nanatsuiro Drops) is taking over as director, replacing Noriaki Akitaya from the first season. Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls) will continue to oversee the series scripts, and Takahiro Sakai (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) will again adapt Yūki Hagure’s original designs for animation. Naoki Yamauchi, who served as the chief animation director in the first season, is also designing the characters for the second season. The animation will continue to be produced by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ.

Returning Cast

The main voice cast from the first season will reprise their roles, with Jun Fukuyama returning as Hakkon (Boxxo) and Kaede Hondo as Lammis.

Aina Aiba: From Pro-Wrestling to Anime Themes

Aina Aiba, born on October 17, 1988, is a Japanese voice actress and singer affiliated with the talent agency Hibiki. Before her voice acting career, Aiba was a professional wrestler under the name Yūki Harima. She debuted in voice acting as Tokoha Anjō in Cardfight!! Vanguard G: NEXT. She also voices Yukina Minato in the BanG Dream! franchise and Claudine Saijō from Revue Starlight. Aiba made her professional singing debut in November 2016 with “Yume no Hikari Kimi no Mirai,” the ending theme for Future Card Buddyfight DDD. In 2024, Aiba performed the ending theme song “REASONS” for the anime TASUKETSU -Fate of the Majority-.

“Boku Dake no Chiheisen”: A New Horizon

Aiba’s new song, “Boku Dake no Chiheisen,” promises to be a fitting addition to the Reborn as a Vending Machine universe. While specific details about the song are yet to be revealed, fans can anticipate Aiba’s signature vocal style and emotive delivery, complementing the anime’s themes of self-discovery and adaptation in a bizarre new world.

What is Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon About?

Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon is based on the light novel series written by Hirukuma. Unable to move or speak beyond stock vending machine phrases, he must find a way to survive and thrive in this new environment. He can dispense items he bought in his previous life, earning points to upgrade his vending machine.

Synopsis

After dying in an accident, a man is reborn as a vending machine in a fantasy world. He meets Lammis, a young girl who becomes his first customer and helps him navigate his new life. As Boxxo (the vending machine) dispenses goods, he becomes an essential part of the community, developing new abilities and products.

Where to Watch

The first season of Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon aired from July to September 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the series, including an English dub. Yen Press has also published the light novels in English.

Reception

The anime adaptation has been praised for its unique and absurd premise, with many viewers finding it surprisingly enjoyable. The dub cast has also been commended, further enhancing the viewing experience.

Final Thoughts

With a confirmed release date, a new director, and Aina Aiba performing the ending theme, the second season of Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon is shaping up to be an exciting continuation of this quirky isekai adventure. Fans can look forward to more vending machine antics, dungeon exploration, and the captivating sounds of “Boku Dake no Chiheisen” when the anime premieres in July 2025.
