Point Set has officially announced that Watomura’s popular romantic comedy manga, Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu! (also known as I’m Home, Sorry for the Intrusion! or Pardon the Intrusion, I’m Home!), will receive a TV anime adaptation slated to air in 2026. The announcement also revealed key cast members and the primary production staff for the upcoming series.
An Unconventional Room-Sharing Comedy Coming to Screens
The anime will bring to life the unique premise of Tadaima, Ojamasaremasu!, which revolves around Rinko Nakama, a 24-year-old office worker living alone as a secret otaku. Her quiet life takes an unexpected turn when literal holes in the walls connect her apartment to those of her two distinct neighbors, leading to a peculiar new form of cohabitation.
Rinko’s routine includes unwinding by reading her favorite manga, Usaneko-bu (or Bunny and Cat Club), and watching anime. However, her right-side neighbor often expresses irritation at the noise, sometimes quite aggressively. Seeking help, Rinko enlists her gentle left-side neighbor, Akito Satsuki, to mediate. The situation escalates when the right-side neighbor, Haruma Usada, dramatically kicks down the wall, revealing his identity as the creator of Rinko’s beloved manga. This bizarre incident ultimately results in a “weird, new style of room sharing” among the three.
Confirmed Cast and Production Team
The main voice cast for the anime adaptation has been confirmed, featuring prominent industry talents:
- Kana Hanazawa as Rinko Nakama, the 24-year-old office worker and protagonist.
- Kaito Ishikawa as Akito Satsuki, Rinko’s kind and sweet neighbor to her left.
- Haruki Ishiya as Haruma Usada, the hot-headed neighbor to Rinko’s right who is secretly a manga artist.
Behind the scenes, Itsuki Imazaki, known for directing series such as Ai Mai Mi and Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World, will helm the project at Tatsunoko Production. Imazaki is also taking on the role of series scriptwriter, co-writing alongside Makoto Takada.
