How long has MomoCon been around?
Getting Started. MomoCon began through Anime O-Tekku. Even now, its members and Georgia Tech alumni still comprise a good portion of the volunteer staff. These volunteers worked tireless to bring the first MomoCon to the public in 2005; they were greeted by 700+ eager attendees.

Who started MomoCon?
Jessica Merriman, founder and co-chairman of MomoCon. Fifteen years ago, then-college senior Jess Merriman parlayed the knowledge she had gained as a computer science major at Georgia Tech with an interest in gaming and animation to launch MomoCon.
How long has Dragoncon been around?
While small cons still focus on one or two genres, the largest ones combine literature, television & movies, comics and gaming, just as Dragon Con did for the first time back in 1987.
Is Dragon Con bigger than Comic-Con?
Price-wise, though, these two conventions aren’t really comparable. Dragon Con is big but Comic-Con is bigger, much bigger, and the insider info you may get and the chance encounters you may have make the more expensive SDCC badge worth the extra cost…and even, I’ll admit, the extra hassle to get one.
