The second part of the popular anime series “Witch Watch” is set to premiere on June 29, 2025, and fans are buzzing with excitement over the newly revealed theme songs and additional cast members. Based on Kenta Shinohara’s manga, “Witch Watch” follows the comedic and supernatural cohabitation of Nico Wakatsuki, a witch-in-training, and Morihito Otogi, a high school student with ogre-like powers.
A Magical Musical Lineup
The opening theme song for the second cour is titled “Tokihanate!” (Let go!) and is performed by the talented singer HashiMelo. Known for their captivating vocals and energetic style, HashiMelo promises to deliver a vibrant and engaging track that perfectly captures the spirit of “Witch Watch.”
Adding to the enchanting auditory experience, the ending theme song, “Tsuki to Watashi no Kakurenbo” (Hide and Seek with the Moon), is brought to life by the pop-rock band yutori. Yuki Wakai as Miharu Kiryu: Wakai will voice Miharu Kiryu, a bat familiar and vampire who attends the same junior high school as some of the other characters. Miharu’s addition promises to bring a new layer of supernatural intrigue and comedic potential to the series.
Yohei Azakami as Rui Fujiki: Azakami will play Rui Fujiki, the student council president of the junior high school. With his authoritative presence and potentially quirky personality, Rui is sure to stir up some interesting situations for Nico and her friends.

In conjunction with the theme song and cast announcements, a new visual and promotional video have been released, offering fans a tantalizing glimpse into the upcoming episodes. The visual features Nico, Morihito, Kanshi, Keigo, Nemu in her cat form, and the new character Miharu Kiryu, all living together under the Otogi family roof.

Story
Morihito Otogi, a high school student who comes from a lineage of ogres, lived a peaceful, ordinary life until his childhood friend Nico, a witch-in-training, moves in with him, and chooses Morihito to be her familiar. Morihito is tasked with the duty to protect her from a foretold calamity. Between the unpredictable chaos caused by Nico’s magic, and the awkwardness of sharing a home, their lives become a whirlwind of supernatural hijinks and threats.
